In the fashion world people watch to see what designers do for their collections, especially in runway shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Clothing companies and manufacturers than interpret those trends into what is appropriate for their customers. They may pick some of the colors, prints, silhouettes, certain pieces of clothing, embellishments and so forth that they feel resonate with their particular demographics [that they sell clothing to].
